Google recently launched an independent game called “Instant Games” without public publicity. The application is an independent vehicle for the YouTube Playables library, which has been in YouTube since 2023.

According to the Google Play shop page, the application recorded multiple HTML5 lightweight games, including Om Nom Run, developed by Zeptolab, Stack Bounce, Crazy Caves, produced by Gamesnacks, and Classic Chess, 3D tableball, shelled 3D under Famobi. The shop screenshot shows the application to support offline operations, which is officially described as a “fun-free collection of H5 games”.

According to Appmagic data from the market-monitoring agency, Instant Games is already on line in 44 markets in Latin America, the Middle East, South-East Asia and the United States, with an online date of 17 June. Google Play shows that Instant Games has now downloaded more than 10,000 times, but most parts of Europe and China are not open for download.

Instant Game is in essence a stand-alone portal to the YouTube Playables game library, and currently Playables also includes super-recreational hot game Tall Man Run, Attack Hole, Bridge Race and Tomb of the Mask. Some well-known hand-swam IPs have also developed Playables versions, such as ” Skywalking ” , ” 8 Balls ” , ” Rocket Flying Man ” , ” Angry Birds Fight ” , ” Cutting Threads ” .

Google has so far not announced the application in any official channel. This coincided with the launch of the Apple independent game application at WWDC early this month, which will pre-assemble the Apple device and integrate the game library, social system and Apple Arcade services. However, there is a private evaluation by developers of apple applications “Design mediocre, meeting basic needs rather than innovation breakthroughs”.
